What its like?
This is a casual restaurant that can get pricey. They have outdoor seating that overlooks the Caesars pool and gardens. The general atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The dining room is decorated in light colors that open the place up a bit more. Spend a few minutes watching the fish dart around in the large fish tank that greets you outside the elevator.
This is the kind of place my wife will drag me to and I will be forced to endure a long procession of small plates with food that I find mildly appealing. That was not the case with the Empress court as I found myself engrossed in each of the selections my wife suggested. The set meals take the work out of eating and encourage you to try that which you would not have considered. I actually had more tea here than alcohol, now that is a first.
Hows the food?
This is not your average Asian food place. They get fancy with their dishes and if youre looking for simple it might be hard to find. If you try the set menu you might take the guess work out of the menu and that has its benefits. With so many seafood, beef and poultry dishes it gets a little difficult to make the right choice.
The food here is traditional Hong Kong cuisine and it is quite authentic. Gourmet Chinese taken to a higher level
