The thrilling acrobatics of Cirque Du Soleil and the music of Elvis Presley make for the perfect Las Vegas combination. Viva Elvis!

Craving Las Vegas, The Food You Need to Have on the Las Vegas Strip

If you need a reason to eat in Las Vegas I can give you one. I constantly crave food and these are five dishes that you must consider when in Las Vegas. If you love to eat you will crave Las Vegas. I have no problem indulging, there is no shame in eating a little too much and i rarely leave my seat if there is still plenty of great food on the table.

From decadent desserts to lavish presentations I crave food in Las Vegas everyday and I try my best to eat everywhere. Go ahead, ask the question, "How do I still look so good?" I am genetically predisposed to eat as much as I want and my weight will be kept in check as long as I do not crave speedo swimsuits and a washboard stomach. That is a perfect trade off to being able to eat a lot of great food in Las Vegas.

So what am I craving? Currently these five restaurants are swirling around in my dreams.

Dos Caminos at the Palazzo Las Vegas - Chips and Guacamole with a beer are really all I would need but how can I pass up on the carnitas tacos?
Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace - This is the place where the calorie counting goes out the window. The portions are huge and the meals are decadent. This is the type of place you search for when you are on vacation.
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon - The L'Unique Menu at Le A'telier at the MGM Grand is where yo go when you want to indulge but you would hope to be a little more classy while doing it. You'll probably have a little too much wine so prepare yourself.
Breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas - I never get tired of people watching in Las Vega and the patio at Mon Ami Gabi is one of the best places to do it. A cup of coffee and a pastry and I can waste away my morning enjoying the free Las Vegas Show.
Wazuzu at Encore Las Vegas - I cannot say anymore good things about Wazuzu before they start linking me romantically with a server there. I cannot even take my wife to Wazuzu because she would instantly love me less because I could never create a dish that does so much for your eating experience. This is the place I could easily have everyday.

The art of spending an entire day at the sports book is a finely crafted talent. You have to gauge your consumption of alcohol, time your restroom breaks and keep yourself fed. It's not easy so you need some resources to aid in your quest to watch every game and Las Vegas sports books can do that for you.

This time of year all we really need is a place to sit around and watch sports all day long. A few big screens, some good food, a few beers and some friends. Take that simple formula and add Las Vegas excitement. Add in the ability to put a few bucks on the game. Add in a server who smiles as she delivers your beer and snacks. They'll follow Simba on his journey to become king while listening to music written by Elton John and watching performers bring the animated favorite to life. The Lion Kings is a fun show for the entire family.

Is Criss Angel worthy of a show with the Cirque du Soleil brand attached to it? Plenty of people share their bad experiences with the show and I rarely hear anything good about it. Criss Angel: Believe at the Luxor is on at 7 and 10pm nightly (dark Sun-Mon) so somebody is watching it, right? Read a few reviews of Criss Angel: Believe and let us know if people are being fair or if this is potentially the worse show in Las Vegas.

You Deserve a Stay at the Palazzo Las Vegas

You need to seriously consider staying at the Palazzo Las Vegas. First, you deserve it, you put in the long hours, you deal with the stress of running a household, those dogs that bark at night never allow you to get the decent rest you need. Must I go on, you need a vacation. More importantly, you need a little of the good life. So do it.

This is how it will go, you'll wake up have some coffee and walk down to the Canyon Ranch Spa. Can you say relaxation? Canyon Ranch Spa is not that place where you go for the $15 massage, it's an experience, a transformation really, but why get all fancy with words and emotions, just understand that you'll finally find that happy space. Try Aquavana, an excursion into relaxation by way of water and temperature variations. The Finnish Sauna is good but you need to experience a tropical rain storm or the cool fog in the Experiential Rain environment.

At this point you'll want to walk up to your suite and take a nap but you should indulge in a Cucumber Gimlet and a light lunch at First Food and Bar. As the afternoon develops you can opt for a day of lounging by the Palazzo pool and then gear yourself up for dinner, drinks and dancing at LAVO at the Palazzo Las Vegas.

Understand, this just day one, do I need to mention the 12 other restaurants that are to die for? What about the bars and lounges? The shows? The excitement of the craps tables? It's Vegas people, you need it and the Palazzo has it.
