Sharpen those skates and get out your warm winter sweaters. Winter in Venice has arrived and it's time for you to ice skate on the Las Vegas strip. For the second year in a row The Venetian and Palazzo resorts have turned the desert in to a winter wonderland with "Winter in Venice" You can photobomb your friends in front of the giant holiday tree or you can take a shot at making some turns on the synthetic ice in the canals out in front of the resort. Each night at 6 and 8 there is a lighting ceremony and you'll hear festive music coming out of really happy people as they stroll the plaza sharing their good joy.
Last year I took a tumble on the ice in front of quite a few people. I'm still hearing about it whenever people ask me about my ability to skate. I'll redeem myself this year.
The Cosmopolitan Hotel also has an ice rink but they have decided to go with real ice. Head up to the Boulevard pool and you can carve up the cold stuff as your friends watch from comfortable chairs and the warmth of their fire pits. Winter is in full swing in Las Vegas>
