CityCenter is Very Close, Are You Getting Excited?

As you look up and down the strip the skyline has been forever transformed by CityCenter and a few days are all that separate you from a room at one of the newest places to be in Las Vegas. Are you looking forward to the dining choices at CityCenter? What about shopping at CityCenter? The plush rooms, the spas, the pools, the...there is so much to look forward to that it is intoxicating.
I'm excited about rooms that will incorporate technology on a scale that has not been experienced in Las Vegas as well as the ability of Las Vegas to embrace sustainable building practices as an example of how to build while maintaining an eye on the environment. But, I am really excited about the new places to have a drink and to indulge in my favorite past time. Eating.
Three-star Michelin Chef Pierre Gagnaire will open his first U.S. restaurant Twist by Pierre Gagnaire at the Mandarin Oriental and you can bet I'll be in line as they unlock the doors. Dare I say a modern French restaurant with views from the 23rd floor of the Las Vegas strip will rise to my list of favorites restaurants in Las Vegas. Well, let's not get crazy, the place is not even open yet, but it will be, soon.
Of course, you cannot forget that "Viva Elvis" will open at ARIA Resort and the new Cirque du Soleil show is a tribute to Elvis Presley and his music.
Prepare yourself as CityCenter starts to creep into your every thought and your need to get to Las Vegas expands into an ever growing craving that must be satisfied.
Plenty of people have ideas oabout development in Las Vegas, what about you, do you have an opinion? What do you think about CityCenter in Las Vegas?

Who really cares about this place. This place and all the other over the top, too expensive to afford projects have ruined the strip and Vegas. Give us the old days and ways that people can afford. I personally hope this and all the others are a BIG flop
Las Vegas is ever changing, while I am as much a fan of the old Las Vegas, I am also excited about the direction that the strip is going in. An emphasis on creating a real metropolitan center on the strip that is far more about the atmosphere and not centered on the gaming is exciting. Las Vegas is a resort destination and the changes that are forthcoming will only help bolster that ideal.
I don’t think so and I’m sure many others feel the same. If the want something like that go to New York or Los Angeles, don’t mess up Vegas and the Strip, besides….Who’s going to be able to afford it?
I THINK THE MODERNIZATION IS OK, BUT THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING IS GOING UP AND UP. THE FANCY ROOMS WHICH IS NOT A BIG DEAL TO ME. I AM IN VEGAS TO BE OUT AND ABOUT, NOT TO SIT IN MY ROOM, I GO THEIR TO SLEEP.
I have watched the progress of City Center since it was a hole in the ground. It will be interesting to see how this “great experiment” will pan out with today’s economy. Sure is nice to have the construction mess about done as the peds and cars were affected by this for a lonnnng time.
We go to Vegas for the gambling and shows. Not sure what CC adds to those.
When you see the casino inside ARIA Resort you’ll be impressed by the size, the decor, and the modernization of Las Vegas from the gambling aspect. As for shows, “Viva Elvis” should rival “Love” as on e of the best shows on the Las Vegas strip. CityCenter is bringing a different type of excitement to Las Vegas but in reality it is giving return visitors something else to look forward to.
