The Mirage Volcano is Reignited Tonight!

Monday December 8, 2008
Mirage Volcano I can remember watching the Mirage Volcano going off for the very first time when I was 18 years old. My father was disgusted with the site. My mother thought it was beautiful. It was Thanksgiving weekend 1989 and my then girlfriend, who became my wife and I walked in to this jammed casino and witnessed the complete transformation of Las Vegas.

Why You might Love the Mirage Las Vegas

The Mirage set the bar so high that everyone had to rethink what Las Vegas meant to them. Today, celebrity chefs, high end spas and fancy nightclubs crowd the strip and the feeling that I would get when sitting at the cheese steak place across the steak is gone. But the Mirage is still doing what it has done since it opened, making an impact on the Las Vegas strip.

Tonight the iconic erupting volcano will be reintroduced after a complete overhaul of the attraction. You’ll get music, choreographed lighting and a complete audio visual experience. Oh, did I forget to mention that you’ll also get the heat. The fiery production will blast high in the air and give you the sensation that only in Las Vegas can such a spectacle be produced.
