Take a day trip to the Grand Canyon
Wednesday November 2, 2005
Fall is a great time to visit the Grand Canyon, as the leaves change colors and the wind starts blowing. Wait, there are no deciduous trees in the Grand Canyon but the scenery is spectacular and the temperatures are comfortable. Go south from Las Vegas and take a
day trip to the Grand Canyon. Look out over the edge and be thankful for the opportunity to drive the couple of hundred miles at $3 a gallon to see a huge hole in the ground. But, it's better than dropping that money on a table, right? Well, I guess you do get free drinks at the tables.
So you need to find other things to do outside of Las Vegas? I have the answer for you, take a look at About's guide to the Southwest for information on travel to Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico.
